    1. Re: [TNBlount] ROREX - George
    2. George, Thanks for the information! All this time I have been looking in Jackson Co., AL for my ROREXs and I had a "feeling" they were in TN as well but I had no idea of where to start. I just got a copy of a tree that was sent to my 2nd cousin Bobby ROREX in AR and that is how I found out about Blount Co., TN. There are some I guess in Lincoln Co., TN as well and Colbert Co., AL. 3. Queet, Thank you for re-posting the responses you received. Martin Rorex of Blount County was the guardian of my John Boring b.c1805-1809 (married Rachel Murray) and some of his siblings. The earliest I have for Martin Rorex in Blount Co is 1801. *1801 Blount County, TN Tax List, Capt. McGinley's Co. Martin Rorax - 1 White Poll *1815 Tues 26 Sept. Amos Boring and Ann Hiles (Hoyles, from Lincoln Co., NC?) had just been married in 1814 and could not be the parents of John. 3. George, I would imagine that some of them were probably private replys insted of to the list. I THINK that reply when you click the reply button reply to the whole list but people can reply privately. If you are interested in that surname, I'm sure you can ask them about it and they will share. Many lists request that people respond to messages privately but our list is so small it is nice to see the replies. Through casual conversation with her sister-in-law, I found out that Russell told his daughter Jane about all of his siblings. Jane related it to Ila and thank goodness she wrote them down. 1. [TNBlount] Happuck
    2. Am looking for anyone with any knowledge of the name Happuck, Happock. One Kerren Happuck wed 1850 John Madison Overholtser according to Tenn marriage records. When found on 1860 Greene Co., Tn census it read John Overholt 30 Keronhoppuck, yes one word. Then one John H. Coltharp wed 1856 Keren Happuch (two words here). It has been stated that her name was also Allen and or Walker. But the marriage records show Karen here as Waller not Walker. 1850 Lawrence Co., Tn census shows one James Kelsaw, and in the hh is one Kerren Happuck 74 born Va., with I assume daughters, Margaret D. 37 born Tenn, Mary C. R. 35 born Va. and Sarah D. 31 born Va. There is a Susan Kerenhappach, perhaps a Coltharp, (one word) born 11-25-1850 died 12-29-1895 wife of C. W. Hicks, buried Chestua Baptist Church Cemetery. Any help appreciated Thanks Lee Needham

    1. Re: [TNBlount] ROREX - Stan
    2. Thanks Stan! I will gladly take any ROREX information and even the Henry's info. What ever you can give me or find that is connected to my ROREX name. My ROREX's came from Jackson Co., AL as far as I know but I am sure the ones in TN are connected to my line as well. I would like to get as much on them as I can and thier marriages and etc. To me, they are all relatives. Queet

    2. Patti, Unfortunately I don't have anything on them other than that Johns birth is 1810-1892. I just recieved a copy of a tree that was sent to one of my relatives. I has John and Carolyn on there along with some of Johns siblings and etc. At this point, I did not know there were ROREX's in TN. I thought they were all in Jackson Co., AL. Once I get this tree info into my database I would be more than happy to share with you what I got. I would like to see what you have on the ROREX name as well if you don't mind. Queet
