Norma and Mail List Members, Eliza Depriest is listed as being buried in the Langley-Fry Cememtery but she is actually buried alone in the woods. I have seen her grave. She is there with two of her babies I believe. She was married to a Bledsoe because her tombstone says Eliza or Elizabeth Depriest Bledsoe. A friend of the family was hunting wild turkeys in the area and came across the grave. Upon seeing my father he mentioned he had found a Bledsoe tombstone. My father knowing I spend time in cemeteries and researching the family history told me the story. Upon my next visit the three of us went looking for the grave. The grave is off Eagle Creek road about half way from Birdsong road to the Resort Community. It is off the North Side of the road. I do believe I took pictures of the graves, I will have to look in my pictures and try to find them. I also have information as to the Bledsoe family linage also. I am doing all this from memory. Will find if needed. I believe she is listed in the 1900 census (the one that is typed in Library. It mentions the Head of house hold name and in parenthese it mentions some maiden names of the wives. I copied page because of the Bledsoe connection. The Langley Fry Cemetery is just in the side yard of the first house of the restort community. Acually the sign for the community is at the top of the hill along the road and in the cemetery. There are no headstones just sunken areas where the bodies are buried. Their is a sketch of the cem in the TVA cemetery relocation book in the library with some graves idenitified and lists of names of others buried there but locations unknown. Sharon M.
