Jean, According to the History of Southeast Missouri Sarah Ann Rushing wife of William Armer was the daughter of William Robert Rushing and Elizabeth Ward. The information seems to have been given by son George W. Armer. "Sarah Ann Rushing born on July 18, 1827 and is the daughter of William R. and Elizabeth Ward Rushing." This was Mississippi County, Missouri History. I do not have the date of publication as I only have a copied page. Mary Gibson >> Donna wrote and asked me to do a lookup in the Benton County Book for Sarah Ann RUSHING (1822-1893) who md 1845 Benton County to William ARMER (1818-1888) s/o Oliver ARMER & Nancy MARTIN. She has some hand-written notes which say Sarah Ann's parents are William Robert RUSHING and Elizabeth WARD. Now here's the catch - the Benton County Book says her parents are Abel RUSHING and Sarah Jane HERRING. Can anyone clear this up for us, please?>>
