The following is taken from "Biographcal Sketches of Baptist Miniters." from the TN state library. Merideth Smith Corbitt Was born in Richmond County, NC the 10th day ofMay 1814. Emigrated toNashville TN in 1815. He imigrated to Humphrey Conty , which is now Benton County in Dec 1829.He married Julianna Browning march 19, 1834. There children were John Robert,Thomas, william, Henry,Louisa and Nacy ann. John Robert's wife is unknown, but they had children named Effie, Nora, walter smith,Felix putman, andHugh Lester. Walter Smith Corbitt married Minnie COle and together they had children named Vona Belle,Bonnie Agnes, and Robert Randolph. Robert Randolph Married Ruby Alice Wheeling and hand children Named.
