Crosswell Ford who married Emily Jane Capps on 27 Feb 1864 in Benton County, TN? My interest is in Emily Jane Capps, in trying to prove if she is the sister of Elizabeth Capps who married Peyton S. Lashlee on 6 March 1846 in Benton County. Thus far I have been unable to prove the parentage of Elizabeth Capps. The Ford family is found on the 1870 Census of Benton Co. in 3rd Civil Dist., pg 457, Family #8 as: Crosswell Ford age 25, born TN Jane age 37?, born TN Melissa, age 6, born TN Tory B age 4, female, born TN John, age 1 male.
