Well folks, I did it. The Slave site I mentioned to you all a few weeks ago is up and running. To update those that missed the info I will repeat. I am a decendant of slave owners. In my records I am collecting I am finding a large number of records on owned slaves. In my delima of what to do with this info, that Im sure someone desperately needs, I came up with this solution....I have established a site for decendants of slave owners to post any records that contain the names of slaves. This will be a site where decendants of slaves can go find the info that many of us have in our databases. In many cases the only access they have to names of ancestors are in our records. It's a new site, and pretty bare at the moment so lets fill it up huh? I feel like it is the least we can do to help these researchers. I had a tremendous number of positive replys when I asked you what you thought, and the Lord has not let me forget it. I have daily reminders in my email from odd sources that remind me to get this thing going. So from this point on it is up to you all to help.
