Diana: The Etheridge line I have is my Grand-Uncle Charlie Powell Etheridge's line. He married my Grandmother's sister, Nancy Elizabeth George. I haven't done a whole lot of research on the Etheridges but did copy down his line while visiting with them in Oklahoma many years back. My primary focus has been trying to figure out where my Caplingers, Georges and Beasleys came from - they are all real block walls which I just can't seem to break through. Thanks for your input re the other Etheridges in the area. When I find information which fits Charlies' line I do enter it into my records. Saw a web page not too long ago which had a whole lot of Etheridges from NC, but I didn't make note of it...next time I will! Good luck on your Mary Ann Etheridge. Jean S. An Elijah Ethridge and a Nancy Ethridge were listed in the 1830 HN census. Nancy had a child that age. Their was an Elijah in Wsh County, NC in 1810. 1800 Currituck & Edgecome, & Nash County had a lot of Etheridges. Did your MS branch come from there? Have you seen the Ten Generations of Etheridge by Faae Alice Ethridge? I don't have access to it, it is suppose to be about the NC Ethridge's.
