    3. Hazel, Is there a way to reprint Charles D. Robbins articles that pertain to Benton County from the Tennessee Trailings from the Paris Post-Intelligncer, Paris?? I have seen a few in the past, I think they could help some of us out-of-staters. Were there articles in the Benton County newspaper?? I remember seeing some old pictures. Also I remember an article with the marriage dates after 1900. Diana ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! 3. Bob, In the 1850 census, the were two Sharp men living in Benton County. They appear to be brothers. In the town of Camden, house #3 in the home of W.C. Thompson there was an Anderson Sharp, 31 years old, born in ALA, and was clerk as occupation. In house # 23 in town of Camden, the was a John Sharp living in the home of C.K. Wyly, He was 27 yoa and was clerk as occupation and states he was born in ALA. In 1860 and 1870 census of Benton County, there were no Sharps living in Benton County. My daughter-in-law descends from the Sharps in Humphreys and Tipton County. You may want to search there. The DAR marriage book does not show any Sharp men as marring in Benton County. Hope this helps, Brenda Griffith At 10:54 PM 01/30/2000 EST, you wrote: >I am researching Sharp's that may have been living in Benton County, >Tennessee around 1850-1875. 3. Hello Gabbie @ Mary: Gabbie you have done a fine job.. Now am I supposed to ask Mary's permission, wanting this msg. to get to all on our list, to print an article asking for write-ups for our next issue of our Benton Co. Genealogical Society Quarterly. I have been Editor for 11 years and have about run out of material and if I am to continue editing this quarterly I MUST RECEIVE SOME MATERIAL. Last issue I furnished many of the articles myself and not being from BENTON COUNTRY, OR TN. FOR THAT MATTER, I don't have the researched material many of you have. I never ask for help until I NEED IT. So now I'm asking for articles for publication relating to Benton County. Thanks Gabbie and I think you are correct all the way. Mary Russell do you have material of use?? David Snow, I may have to call on you again.. Hazel Welch Craig..

The only thing I meant is when someone writes to the list and says something like " I want one too" " why isn't my quarterly here?" or some such personal message then people start unsubscribing. Those are personal messages. See the difference. I certainly didn't mean to upset anyone. I suppose I can change the list so that replies go only to the person who wrote the email but that cuts down on information when we are talking about someone's genealogy lines.
