Of course I meant June 24th!!
Today I received a letter form Ethel Carmical , director of the Humphreys County library, saying that ordinarily their library hours are Mon-Fri 10-5, but that arrangements have been made for them to be open to our Danville Crossing people, ( not the general public, so it will be quiet for us to work ) on Saturday , June 14th. That is so wonderful of them! Now I know a lot of you will be relieved to have that extra day to go there and research your families in that area! I also heard from Karen Price, Director of the Carroll County Library, that their Library Hours are 9-4 Mon-Sat. And from Sharon Simpson that their Library hours at the McIver Grant Public Library in Dyersberg ( Dyer County) are Monday 10-6, Tues through Sat 10-5 Henry County is no longer without a Librarian, since Connie McSwain accepted that position in February. Everything there ought to be running smoothely there, where I will have a " nest" in their Genealogical room! Aren't we getting excited to " lay siege" to the libraries when we get to the Homecoming in June!! I know I am! Can hardly wait! Cacky
We are down to the home-stretch in planning the Homecoming. You have a month to have your reservation in, ($10 for the 3 day event) and dinner ( $13.50 each for anyone over age 3...tip and tax included.) I need that postmarked by June 12th so it is all in before I leave here on the 16th. Now we have something more for you. TA-DAAAH! (fanfare) T SHIRTS! ( drumroll) They will be beige cotton brand -name teeshirts with the new and exclusive Danville Crossing logo on them in dark green. They come in sizes S-M-L and XL for $14 each. XXLand XXXL are $2 more and a XXXXL will be $2.50 more... (and the X-sized may be white as they don't have these sizes in beige) They also can make for us children's sizes for the same price, XS (2-4), S (6-8) M (10-12) and LG (14-16). These will need to be prepaid (and I will TRY to have a few extras at the Homecoming as the order has to be in an even number of dozens) I need to know who many of each size ASAP. We had hoped to have this to announce and offer for sale sooner, but ran into problems with the printing companies' wanting a very large minimum order. Now that we have worked that out, you can start sending me in your orders and checks so I can deliver them to you at DCH when you get there! I don't think there will be time to mail them and be sure they get to you in time . The deadline on this will have to be June 6th. So, the address is the same as for the Reunion and dinner: Danville Crossing Homecoming 2000 P O Box 47047 Jacksonville, FL 32247-7047 For you not yet paid and signed up for the Homecoming, send me your name, screenname mailing address phone number counties in TN you are researching surnames in those counties and $10 or the 3 days , (or $5 a day if you can only come for one day) and how many for dinner , at $13.5O each. The workshops/programs are set, we have a nice big meeting room, and anticipate a great gathering! Don't miss it! Donations are still being accepted for the silent auction, which was such a hit last time, and some interesting and very nice things will be offered. Cacky

I have to manually add all the queries that are on the site into the cchelper program. What a mess!! Thanks for all of your patience while I have been recovering from the computer virus. Alison
>From the Benton County Webpage: Company I of the 49th Tennessee Infantry Regiment: Alonzo Napier Captain "Mira" Nunnery First Lieutenant Henry Roberson Second Lieutenant H. K. Camp Third Lieutenant A.H. Mitchell Orderly Sergeant Is Mira Nunnery the same man as Nehemiah Nunnery? I feel like I've come full circle. For two years I tried to connect my Narsissus Nunnery ("Sis") to the Benton County Nunnerys. I knew that there were at least two Narcissus(es?) in their family. I finally found my Narsissus in Pemiscot County, MO in 1870. Here is her family: NUNNERY, Mariah (or Maniah? or Manish? or Miah?) M? F? age 32 b. TN NUNNERY, Lucy A. F age 33 b. TN NUNNERY, Narcissis F age 17 b. TN NUNNERY, John M M age 12 b. TN NUNNERY, Parmelia F age 10 b. TN NUNNERY, Rachel F age 9 b. TN NUNNERY, Victory F age 7 b. TN Next household is: NUNNERY, William M age 21 b. TN NUNNERY, Annie F age 17 b. TN Narsissus Nunnery married Robert B. Funderburk. In 1880, they had a 4-yr-old son with the same mysterious name as the head of household in 1870. It looks like it may be Miah or Mirah. Does anyone know where Nehemiah disappeared to after the War? Thanks for any help. Karla Butler Everett
