    3. Posted on: Benton Co. Tn Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Tn/Benton/55 Surname: Webb, Rushing, Cheairs ------------------------- Hello Robert, Could your Richard Henry Webb be related to Robert Webb who married Sophia Cheairs on July 1, 1789 in Richmond Co., N. C. Their daughter was Lively Webb who married Robert (Robin) Rushing in 1817. They are both buried in Rushing Creek Cemetary in Benton County, TN(Robin and Lively). I do not have info on ancestors of Robert Webb. Sophia Cheairs was the daughter of Nathaniel Cheairs and Sarah Thomas. We have traced the Cheairs back to France where they were Huegonauts who were run out of France due to religious oppression by Catholic Kings. Calvin Rushing was the son of Robert (Robin) Rushing and Lively Webb. Calvin married Nancy B. Warren on March 8, 1852 in Henry Co., TN. They are also both buried at the Rushing Creek Cem. in Benton Co. TN. Let me know if any of this connects. Bill Gleaves

However, I would love to know more about Henry and family to see if he matches up with any of my Webb folks. Lively Webb was my 3rd great grandmother - wife of Robin Rushing. I can only trace her back one generation so far, so I don't have a lot. All the more reason to see if there is any place we can connect. Thanks.

    3. Lee: I did some more looking and found in Volume II of "Families and Histories of Benton County" a good bit of information on the Alsup line. It is as follows: Margaret Josephine Alsup b 7-15-1856 d 8-23-1941 Benton County, Tn was the fifth child of David Alsup b 1827 Henry County, Tn and his second wife, Caroline L, Graham b 1825 in Henry County, Tn (dau of John Graham). David and Caroline had eight children. David was the son of Samuel Alsup and Susan ???. I don't have info any further back on this line. I do have the names of the brothers and sisters of Margaret Josephine and the husbands and wives. Let me knw if I can be of further assistance. Ed Oxford "Lee B. 3. Lee: I have a copy of "Cemetery Listings of Benton County" and I did a look-up of James Harvey Barnes. I found a J. Harvey Barnes b 1854 d 1916 and Margaret Barnes b 1856 d 1941 listed in Bakers Chapel Church Cemetery. Bakers Chapel is located in the northern end of Benton County near the intersection of Lower Big Sandy Road and Bakers Chapel Church Road. Hope this helps. I will also do a look up in the Families of Benton County Books that I have. All of these have been published by the Benton County Gen. Soc. Regards, Ed "Lee B. 1. [TNBENTON] NUNNERY - 2nd Opinion
    2. I have a page from the 1850 Benton County census. I guess it's page 292a. I'm not sure which Civil District. House 176-176 is the family of Richard NUNNERY. Line 19 of the page is a son of Richard's (I assume). He's age 14. Does anyone on the list have an image of the page? I need a 'second opinion.' Does it look to you like that boy's name is "Miha?" Mirah? Micha? As some of you already know, this name keeps popping up in my Nunnery family and I can't figure out what it is! Thanks for any help or speculation. Karla Butler Everett Bakersfield, CA
