Hello, I have heard that Thomas Cheatham, formerly of Williamson County, TN, died 1858 in Bedford with a will that named his siblings, etc.. and Gregory step-children. Does anyone have a transcript of that will? I am researching the Cheathams in the Maury-Bedford-Rutherford county area to see if there is a connection to my 5th great-grandaunt, Molly (Rice) Cheatham, born c. 1753 Amelia County, VA, daughter of Francis and Sarah (Womack) Rice of Prince Edward Co. Virginia. Molly's sister, Elizabeth Rice, married Robert Puckett of Charlotte Co. VA,and many of their children settled in Rutherford and Wilson Counties, TN. Their sister-in-law, Eleanor Rice, widow of brother Samuel Rice, settled by 1813 in Williamson County, TN with several of her children. It is highly likely that elements of Molly (Rice) Cheatham's family also settled in the area. I strongly suspect a connection to the Joel Cheatham family of Halifax Co. VA. Any help on these folks would be greatly appreciated! Willie Smith *************************************************************** "You should always do your duty in all things. You can do no more. Could you give a little more information on Thomas Cheatham, such as when he was born, name of his wife, etc. to help us pin-point who he is. Arline ----- Original Message ----- From: "W. D.
