    3. Teresa, How far back do you have the Elliotts? My wife descends from the Elliotts of Chowan/Perquimans County, NC: Mordecai Elliott and wife Lydia Smith (I think. Or Rebecca Barber..) Mordecai Elliott's daughter, Jemima Elliott, married Noah Speight Jr. in Perquimans County, NC in 1815. Noah Speight was my wife's direct maternal ancestor.
