Thompson 1st married Emily Reed, they divorced & 2nd wife was Martha Ventruess. She had 2 children, Moody & Dana Ventruess. I assume Martha div. or husband died & she took back her maiden name. I would like to know more on the Ventruess family. Martha's parents were John & Letetia Ventruess, they are buried, along with Martha, James Thompson, Moody, Dana & Ella Trollinger. They are all buried side by side at Willow Mt. Cemetery in Shelbyville. Ella Trollingers' parents were Martha J. Thompson & Joseph Trollinger.Moody &Dana Ventress and Ella Trollinger, inherited the home of James Thompson, when he died in 1911. If anyone has any info on Martha Ventruess & family,I would appreciate hearing from them.
