    3. Hello TN-Bedford List, Who is researching the Moore, Forrester, and Baker lines from this area? John F Moore is my mystery. John F. Moore was born about 1842 in Tennessee. The only census record that I can identify him in was the 1870 Lincoln County Tennessee census. He was listed as J. F. Moore, age 28 and born in Tennessee. Along with him, M. M. Moore, my great great grandmother, age 22 and born in Tennessee, was listed. This was Mary Matilda Forrester, daughter of Alexander Forrester and Nancy Manerva Eaton. There is a marriage listing for J. F. Moore to Mary E. Forrester in Lincoln County Tennesse on the 5th of November 1868. Mary E. should be Mary M. Forrester. Mary Matilda was born on the 23rd of October 1847 and died on the 3rd of June 1931 in Oregon County Missouri. Their first son, James Alexander Moore, was listed as J. A. Moore, age 10 on the 1870 census. This should have been 10 months on the census. James Alexander was born on the 7th of September 1869 in Lincoln County Tennessee and died on the 7th of June 1944 in Heavener, Leflore County, Oklahoma. Their other son, William Isaac Moore ( my great grandfather), was born on the 8th of August 1870 in Lincoln County Tennessee and died on the 14th of March 1940 in Lawrence County Arkansas. J. F. Moore was identified as John on the obituary of James Alexander Moore, father of James. According to family lore, John F. and Mary Matilda Moore were moving to Missouri between 1873 and 1877. In route, John F. became ill and died, maybe in Arkansas. Mary Matilda did nothave the money to continue the trip to Missouri and returned to the Lincoln County Tennessee area. On the 27th of December 1877 , Mary Matilda married George Baker in Bedford County Tennessee. George and Mary were still in Bedford County on the 1880 census. Any help on this line is appreciated.
