I have racked my brain for 2 years trying to figure this out. My grandfather who is still living but memory isn't the greatest because he is 87 years old told me that his father was Jabus Swanson Nowlin I, and he had two brothers but he didn't know their names and he didn't know who his grandparents were either. He did say that his father was named after an uncle or maybe a great uncle Dr. Jabus Swanson Nowlin. I have searched just on the internet trying to find a Thomas or John T Nowlin and have found nothing at all but 1 census from 1900. I am just glad that there is a connection, I have not been able to make the connection to the Dr but knew there was one somewhere.
