Bedford/Coffee County/Rutherford County. It seems Beech Grove was a border area. My family came from the head of garrison fork on McBride Branch. They lived there before 1850 and their neighbors were the McBrides, Lawrence, Sorrel, Rayburn, and Jacob's. They may have share cropped for one of these families. Does anyone have a Joseph or Joel DeShields/Dashiell in their family records?
