Although is is possible there was a Beachboard living in the area that became Bedford County in the late 1700's, I think it seems very unlikely. At that time it was Indian Territory or a Military Reservation (don't remember exact name) and had not been settled or "civilized." Later, there were certainly a number of Beachboards in the Bell Buckle area and a Zachary Taylor Beachboard was listed in Goodspeed as being on the town council ca 1885. Jesse Lynn
