The children of Ann S. Fay inherited from the estate of her grandfather, Daniel Scales, in Williamson Co, TN. The marriage of Elizabeth Scales and Robert Cannon is on record in Williamson County (1822). That should serve as proof of the marriage, if that is what you want. (By the way, an Andrew Fay md. Sarah Dwyer in Wmson Co in 1823). As far as the actual record goes, all the available marriage records in middle Tennessee have been published. The Fay-Cannon marriage is not listed. But the Cannon family was educated and they had money. Chances are there is a family Bible somewhere if you can just locate it.
