All we know abt him was he married Mary (?) & came to Shelbyville,TN (Bedford Co.) was listed on 1850 census with Mary SP, Ch WM. 16, James 14, Martha 11, Amy 7, Mary8, Margaret 9. James was G.Grandfather who married Emily Reed abt 1848 in Shelbyville,TN. Emily's Father was Andrew Reed & Malinda Coats. After they divorced, he married Martha Ventruess. Emily came to TX after 1880 with she & James 3 children, Wm., John H., & Mary. I am looking for my husbands GGGrandfathers' Mother & Father!. On the 1850 Bedford Co Census there are several Thompsons, Samuel, Joe, Newcom, James & I am trying to fit them into my husbands line.
