He married NANCY OLLIE POLLEY. She was born 1810, and died Aft. 1880 in Whitley Co., Ky.. They are both buried at Duncan Cem., McCreary Co., Ky. TAPLEY Was born in Bedford County, Tennessee, July the 17th, 1811; died March the 30th, 1883; was a member of the Methodist Church about twenty-five years. Joined the Baptist Church at Otter Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky, about eighteen years ago. He died in the full assurance of the Christian's hope. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you can see...I have followed James's trail from Tn. to Ky. but not having any luck to any information prior to 1840. PLEASE anyone that can help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!! I have no clue WHERE James and Nancy were married. I am assuming close to Bedford or White Co., Tn. Does anyone have access to marriage records around these areas to help me here also?? I have been told the the Tapley's orgionally came from Mass. or Maine?
