    3. Thanks, you're too nice! 1. I DO want to be on the list. 2. I live near the Denver Public Library so probably could get the book on interlibrary loan, I guess. I used to live near the Midcontinent Library in Independence, MO, and spent a good deal of time there but somehow missed this book. 3. My families of interest were not really in Bedford County that long, I believe. However, it's a hole I very much want to fill in. The names are Anglin, Foster, and Brown. They are in adjoining households in the 1830 census of Bedford. The person of particular interest is Nathaniel G. Brown; his father John Brown may also have lived for a time in Bedford, and may indeed have died there. Nathaniel G. Brown's mother was a Gist, and the Browns and Gists were Franklinites from East Tennessee. There is also a Dolly Burnett in the mix somewhere--she deeded Nathaniel her property in 1835 and referred to him as her nephew. In the 1836 tax list, Nathaniel G. Brown had 300 acres on the Duck River. The polling place for that district was at the home of Pearcy Yell; the Yells and Gists were related. Before 1840, Nathaniel and family, with some of the Anglin and Foster relations, moved out to Missouri.
