    2. Hi! There has to be a connection somewhere!!! I have found my Joseph's mother, Martha Smith, living with son Milton ( i think this is supposed to be Malcolm) on the 1880 census. Martha is shown as 75 and born in NC. Milton is 44 married to Margaret with children Nancy age 16, Permelia age 11, William age 8 and Martha age 6. This is in District 11 page 16 #134 Harbert/Hubert Smith 47 m arried ot Nancy A is in household #138 1870 38/38 J Y Smith age 30 married to Malvina age 19 have mother, Martha age 65 living with them. C. age 8 (m) (note-think this is William Calvin, son of William H, apparently deceased. This would be John and Martha's grandson and my Joseph's nephew. age fits) 40/40 Malcolm Smith 34 Margaret 41 MJ age 3(f) ME age 1(f) I don't have this district though. Will need to check again. 1860 378/350 Martha Smith age 55 Harbert 26 Malken 24 Jo. 21 Nancy J 18 Isaac D 15 391/362 W H smith 33 M G 29 J W 8 (m) P F 7 (f) G W 6 (m) M J 3 (f) M E 2 (f) M T 1 (f) Does any of this look familiar? Could your George possibly be GW? My Joseph died ca 1890 when my grandfather was only about 8 years old. My grandfather never knew much about his family. I do have a small pocket Bible that has "Joseph Yarbrough Smith; bought in Nashville, TN" written inside of it. There was a lady from Jonesboro, Ark whose husband was a grandson of William Calvin Smith and she sent me what info she had. She has John (H?) Smith b ca 1797-1802 married to Martha b 7-16-1805 NC d 8-08-1892 TN. Would love to exchange more info and questions. You can email me direct at willoughbyj1@cs.com Look forward to hearing from you!

    3. Have either of you Smith researchers come across a Smith that married a Patterson and lived mostly in Moore County, Tn. Also I am looking for information on a Smith that married a Lawson also in Moore or Bedford or Coffee County. Given the time when Moore County was formed from Bedford and Franklin they could have lived in Franklin County at that time. Anyway if any of you Smith researchers come across a Patterson or Lawson in your Smith family would love it if you will share the info with me. Thanks so much.
