Does anyone know anything about this John Richardson? The following was found in a book "Obituaries from Tennessee Newspapers"Compiled by Jill L. Garrett. Richardson, John, in Richmond, has been sentenced to death for stealing, forging and passing counterfeit notes; will hang May 9. (Nashville Dispatch, 26 April 1862) There were lots of men named John Richardson, but I have one I can't locate after the 1860 Cherokee Co., Ala census. My John Richardson's wife and children were in Hamilton Co., TN in 1880 census. Does anyone have an idea on how I should go about finding out more information about this death sentence?
