    2. I am certainly not the historian, but the area you mentioned is west and somewhat north of Shelbyville, which is in the center of the county. There were settlers there from NC, SC and VA, perhaps a few from other states. I have noticed a lot from Granville Co, NC in that area. I think the Trotter family was from the Mecklenburg Co, NC area, but I am not positive. Carolyn If you owned land in 1835 "between Falling Creek and North Fork, being part of 4,000 acre tract granted by North Carolina to Richard TROTTER", where was that land located? Where did the early settlers (bef 1830) come

    3. Carolyn, Do you know any of the counties in South Carolina? My 3rd great grandfather, Reuben Reeves, born 1795 in SC, so any clues as to where would be greatly appreciated. Do you know if there are any old maps that show the rivers and creeks used as boundary lines? Thank you for all your information and help.
