There has been so much activity on this Bedford list this past week. I so eagerly look at everything on it hoping to find some response to my recent question concerning the sentence to hang John Richardson of Richmond in 1862. I am sure some of you on the list know a lot about Bedford records, and it seems to me that such a subject would be interesting to someone other than me. So won't someone please think a minute to see if you have an idea how I should go about finding more about this man? Hi Larealia, I took a look in the Marsh's court record books and did not find an entry for your request below. Also, I was at the library this weekend and looked in the following Shelbyville papers, but unfortunately, had no luck. The Reveille, 4-DEC-1862 The Tri-Weekly News, 19-Jun-1862 and 21-Jun-1862 Daily Rebel Banner, 4-Apr-1863 The microfilm is not a complete collection and only includes newpapers that could be found. We are very lucky to have a few papers from that time frame and as you might imagine, most of the stories are about the war. If you want to have a look yourself, I would recommend ordering the microfilm through your local LDS History center.
