I have often used Chancery and County Court records in my research but until recently had not ventured into Circuit Court records. I have been reading through the early Circuit Court Records of Bedford County that begin in 1840. They contain a wealth of information that I have posted examples of at: http://www.gscassociates.com/CCC_examples.html Here is a list of the early volumes. The TSLA microfilm roll number and name is listed first, with the individual volumes on that roll listed indented under that. I have noted the total number of pages and whether or not the volume contains an index to cases. None of the volumes has an "every name" index. Once work currently underway to finish transcribing (or creating) indices to the County and Chancery Court records is finished, it would be very useful to get at least the case indices that are in these volumes transcribed. I am going to do one of these soon as an example, plus I will post an example of the information that an index to only case "names" misses. Steve Carson
