Hi -- I received a copy of Lucy's index of this book (thanks!) and found both my Claxtons and Crowells in it, so I called the Shelbyville Times-Gazette to inquire about availability. They don't have it anymore, but the Tennessee State Library and Archives does. Just in case anyone's interested: http://tinyurl.com/83o43 http://www.tennessee.gov/tsla/history/bibliographies/bibbedford.htm#Bedford_County_in_General Thanks again, Lucy. :-)
Kris How are you connected to the Claxtons and Crowells? Hi, Betty -- Samuel W. Crowell (1872-1946) and Alice Cassandra Claxton (1877-1975) were my g-grandparents. Sometime between 1910 and 1920 they left Bedford County and moved to Chickasha, Grady Co., Oklahoma. At 12:08 PM 8/22/2005, you wrote: >Kris >How are you connected to the Claxtons and Crowells?
