    3. My GG-grandfather John Roberts and family came to Bedford county from GA ca 1813. They had a daughter born in 1812 in GA and another daughter born 1n 1814 in TN. Some of the earlier children were born in SC. They settled in Richmond community. I think this was in the 20th district. There are lots of familiar names in your list. Temperance Bledsoe was sister-in-law of my gg-grandfather, Aaron Bledsoe. The Gant farm was less than a mile from John Roberts' farm. The Williams married into John's family. I hope this is of some help to you, Sandra. John Foster

    3. Hi John couldn't but stop and notice you have a Temperance in your family line . Well I have 2 in mine I have A Temprence Taylor daugter of Samuel McDaniel Taylor from Bedford TN. He was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather , and his son Zebedee Taylor named one of his daughter's Temperance Taylor. My Taylor's are Cherokee Indian ,and I thought maybe that was a Indian name. But could be wrong. Just had to mention it, have a nice day Shirley "John A. Foster" wrote: > My GG-grandfather John Roberts and family came to Bedford county > from GA ca 1813. 3. I have a Temperance Burlison who married Levi H. P. Taylor. They had a daughter named Temperance Jane born April 1834. Oldest son born 1828 Alabama so it probably doesn't work out. They were in Texas pretty early. I also have McDaniels. 3 instances. One married the daughter of Andrew Hamil of Bedford Co., NC and Haywood Co., NC. One was a second wife of James A. Blackburn of Anderson Co., TN and Blount and Jefferson Co., AL. One was the second wife of James Blackburn, son of James A. Blackburn - born in Tennessee, moved to Texas about 1840. According to my great grandmother, there is Indian heritage with my Hamils and Blackwells from Bedford and Haywood.
