Bedford County, TN Wills by Tim and Helen Marsh: County Court Minute Book, 1852-1855, p 419 Will of Charles L. Byrne, deceased, produced for probate. Duke W. Harrison and Thomas H. Coldwell, witnesses. Will proven and recorded. Edmund Cooper, Executor. Feb. 1855. Wills of this time period no longer exist due to an 1863 courthouse fire. This record of probate in the county court records is all that is left. Earliest County Court Records of Bedford County, TN by Tim and Helen Marsh: Feb 1859. Settlement with Edmund Cooper, estate of Charles S. Byrn. I believe that Harrison, Coldwell, and Cooper were all lawyers. Edmund Cooper did live in the Unionville (not Union City) area and might have been a neighbor. The Capley family has been well researched. If your Byrne family is kin to the Capleys, I think there will be someone who knows. Most of the people who spell their name Byrne in the state of Tennessee live in Robertson and Sumner Counties, north of Nashville. I'm trying to find out all the information I can about Charles L. BYRN. He lived in Civil District #11, according to the 1850 Bedford Co. Census. I believe that was in Union City. Charles L. Byrn's neighbors were: #167 his son, Oscar S. W. BYRN, HOH, and family #168 Elizabeth COPLEY, HOH, and family. # 169 Mary Ann COPLEY, HOH, and family # 170 Franklin COPLEY,HOH, and family # 171 David BLEDSOE, HOH, and family # 172 Peter COPLEY, HOH, and family. Sometimes relatives and in-laws lived on adjoining farms. I'm trying to find out if any of these families were related in some way. Maybe that will lead me to more information about Charles L. BYRN. Thanks for a great list. Ann
