    3. My husband has an ancestor Temperance Overton who was certainly not Cherokee. I believe this is a name like Patience, Prudence, etc.--a Christian virtue name. 3. I have a Taylor mystery I am trying to solve. Lucy Jane Taylor b in Tn in 1825 and came to So Il . Do u by any chance have her in your data base. Part of her descendants moved into Cherokee territory in Oklahoma. Their last name was Terry and according to the research I have done the Terry family was the first family to live among the Cherokee in Craig Co Oklahoma. They lived in Big Cabin. Clutching at straws here. But u know how genealogy goes. thanks reba ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shirley Carter" <cartersa@pacbell.net> To: <TNBEDFOR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2002 6:50 PM Subject: Re: [TNBEDFOR] The name Temperance > IF I INSULTED YOU I AM SORRY IT JUST CAUGHT MY EYE, AND I AM PROUD OF MY HERTIAGE.
