We are working out lodging details (with Country Hearth Inn) for those traveling and each party will need to secure their rooms. The date is set for October 4th and 5th. Plans at this time are for it to be held in Shelbyville at Polly Prosser Dodson's home on Friday the 4th and at The Hickory Hill Church on the 5th. The Prosser Family settled in Southern Middle Tennessee in The Chestnut Ridge area during the early 1800's. This area is where Bedford, Lincoln, Moore and Marshall Counties all meet. We are at the time putting together a program. Many of the "old" connecting surnames are: RICHARDSON, SULLIVAN, REDD, GOWAN, BROADWAY, PIGG, PETTY, BRENTS, CRESON, ROSE, BAGLEY, WARREN, JOHNSTON, NORRIS, MCNATT, LEFTWICH, DARNALL, WRIGHT, DAVIDSON, HESS, BURNS, EPPS, MCCAY and many, many more. If your early ancestors settled in the Ridge area in all probability there is a connection. We are contacting Pros! > ser descendants all over the country. I will provide more as we get things together. Hello Cyndi: Do you have an ancestor that was named Jack Wilson and lived on Chestnut Ridge in Moore County? If so would like to discuss a Patterson connection with you. Hello Cyndi: There was a Jack Wilson who lived on Chestnut Ridge when my Mom who would be 92 if she had lived was a child. He had a daughter who married my mother's uncle. His name was John Wesley Patterson or better known as "Wes". I think the daughter died when the first child was born but the child lived. However no one in the family has ever known what happened to that child. Also pure hearsay namely tales told by my grandfather who was a brother to Wes Patterson had tales of witchery and such connected to Jack Wilson. I have a cousin who lives right now where Jack Wilson lived. This has been something as a child that I remembered all down through the years. If you come across any info on the Wilson who married Wes Patterson would like to have it. Thanks and good luck.
