Bedford County was formed 1807 from parts of Rutherford County. The 1810 census found on Ancestry.com only list Rutherford County. I am looking for King head of households in the 1810 census. The two given names I am hoping to find are John & Alexander. Thanks Kent Simpson
The 1810 census of Bedford County is lost, except for Rutherford and Grainger Counties. For Bedford County, there is an 1812 tax list. There is no John King listing. Alexander King is in Capt. Richard Neely's company which I think, based on others in the company, was in the SE corner of Bedford County. Samuel King and Jeremiah King were also in this company. Carolyn Bedford County was formed 1807 from parts of Rutherford County.
