Helton, Sr. James Liley Helton, Sr. , 95, retired farmer, died Friday morning, May 17, at his home here. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the grave in Haskins Cemetery, with the Rev. James Ervin officiation. Mr. Helton was a native and life resident of Bedford County. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. I.A. Jones, El Paso Texas, Mrs. Grace Jones of Shelbyville, Mrs. Fred Helton of Chapel Hill, Miss Betty May Helton, Chapel Hill; one son, James Riley Helton Jr., Nashville, and 14 grandchildren.
