We have been working on indexing this volume for about a month and are still at least several weeks away from completing the work. It is hard work since the ink is faded in places and some of the handwriting is little more that a "scribble". There is so much useful data in this volume that I wanted to go ahead and make what we have indexed so far available for use by researchers. I have posted a "work in progress" draft to: http://www.gscassociates.com/CNC-5-index-snapshot.htm Transcription of the index is complete almost to the end of the "T's" in the index. Proofreading and expansion is complete almost through the end of the "D's". Little "condensation" of entries to create a single line for each name has been done. The table has been sorted on name and then page. This is a MS Word "filtered html" file has still not been cleaned up to strip all the garbage tags that Ms Word adds (even in a "filtered" file), so the file is over 10 times as large as actually required. This snapshot will be updated every few days until we finish and publish the final index. Steve
