Hi Teresa, I am suprised you didn't find more typo's. I will go back and send you the obit on the Ghee as soon as I find it. You didn't include the date of the Shelbyville Gazette and the page number. I need to pull the obit on the Stem because they are in my tree too. If you would like I will send you the 1946 which I finished this morning at 5 o'clock and you can proof read it before I send it on to Steve to put on line. I am a long way from perfect and can't really type, I just "peck" at it <grin> I have the Shelbyville Gazette on micro film 1928 - 1955 and if Anyone wants a complete obit you have but to ask....However, I am not perfect and you may have to correct some typo's. In 1946 the Shelbyville Gazette went to a 2 paper a week... there is a Sunday edition and a Thursday edition. These papers are full of history. I get so excited reading of times past for instance; (This clipping is my grandmother, my aunts and a couple of my cousins and they went to visit my uncle) Shelbyville Gazette - Dec 5, 1946 - Section 2 - Page 2 Bell Buckle News Mrs. Walter Samuel Lloyd and son, Jan, Mrs. Crockett Smotherman, Mrs. Raymond Rose and her daughter, Barbara Jane, went to Murfreesboro Saturday to visit Mr and Mrs. Richard Smotherman and family. David Kwapinski has recently moved to his farm near Lake Bedford. John William, son of Mr. Calvin Williams, will live with him. Marty, I can proof for you, but it may take a while. I went back to work Part time, and then Ben wrecked his car which put me back on carpool, so my time is limited lately. Typos are a way of life. If we were perfect, then I'd be able to remember to have bookmarked the original page. LOL At any rate, I so appreciate you and Steve doing this. The last time I was at the archives I got some photocopies of my Edde ancestor. Cost me a small fortune, but it was so interesting. He actually got a pardon from Andrew Jackson (at least I think that was who, it's been a while. <G>) I can't wait to have time to type it all in and scan the documents. That was my Christmas present from my husband last year, and I still haven't had time to open the file folder. He took his case all the way to the Supreme Court and we were able to find the records at TSLA. I mainly found the typos I found because they were my family. I probably wouldn't recognize others, unless they were obvious like the Crick to Brick one. But I knew you'd want to fix them since the Internet (as I tell my kids) is forever.
