    3. Shelbyville Gazette - Mar 17, 1932 - page 1 Mrs. W.B. Landers Called by Death This Well Beloved Christian Woman of Shelbyville Passes Away After a Brief Illness of Pneumonia Mrs. W.B. Landers died at her home in Shelbyville Sunday morning after a brief illness of pneumonia. Her death came as a great shock to many friends and deep sorrow was occasioned by her passing. She was the daughter of the late W.C. Parsons, a prominent farmer of the Deason community. After her marriage to Mr. W.B. Landers they came to Shelbyville to reside. Mrs. Landers was a woman of noble character, whose life was the exemplification of Christiana virtues of deeds and charity. She was a devoted member of the Methodist church and was very active in the civic and welfare works of the town. Her fine faith, her constant devotion and her beautiful services endeared her to the hearts of her brethren. Her life was a blessing to the community, and she will be greatly missed. Her influence has been felt in the lives of many unfortunate boys and girls. She is survived by her husband, W.B. Landers; two sisters, Miss Eva Parsons, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Ruth Tribble of South Pittsburg, Tenn; a brother, James B. Parsons, of Stockton, Cal. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon, at four o'clock, conducted by Dr. W.E. Doss, assisted by Dr. W.C. Cherry. Interment at Willow Mount. Active pall bearers were; W.W. Higgins, J.G. Noblitt, Artie Needham, R.L. Lee, Ulric Gunter, W.R. Haynes, H.L. Hanson, B.E. Tarpley. Honorary pall bearers; Board of Stewards of M.E.
