Dear List Members, There have been several posts to our list recently that came fromthe Rootsweb Bedford County, TN message boards. It is great that list member are responding/replying to these messages, but since the response has just been posted to the list (and not a reply on the board), there is the chance that the original poster did NOT see the reply because they may not be subscribed to the TNBEDFOR mailing list. So, I just wanted to send out a reminder about posts to our list that come from the Rootsweb Boards. Here's how it works: Someone goes the Rootsweb Board for Bedford County, TN. They post a query relating to Bedford County (queries, wills, obits, bible record, etc.). That post will AUTOMATICALLY be forwarded to the TNBEDFOR Mailing List. Now, if your reply to this query is back to the TNBEDFOR Mailing List, it will only show up on the this list, and not on the Bedford County, TN Rootsweb Message Board. Keep in mind that the original poster of the message on Rootsweb may not be subscribed to this list so they may not see your response. Here's a suggestion: Look at the first few lines of the body text of each email on the Mailing List. If one says, for example... Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IhB.2ACI/284 Message Board Post: ...it was forwarded from the Bedford County, TN Rootsweb Board, and did not originate from the TNBEDFOR mailing list. What this means to those of us that are subscribed to this mailing list, is that when replying, we should select the clickable URL link (it should be in a different color in your email browser, and should be underlined), which will take us to the appropriate Bedford County message. Then, we should post our reply THERE! That way, the reply will show up on the Rootsweb message board - AND be forwarded to the TNBEDFOR-L mailing list AUTOMATICALLY.
