There are were two or three Robert Chilton's in Marshall Co.,TN by the 1900's. I believe the Robert Chilton below was a brother to William Henry Chilton. Robert Chilton b. 15 Feb 1844 d. 21 Aug 1902 married (1) Susan Deborah Bills, 11 Sep 1864, Marshall Co., TN (2) Nancy J. Sharp, 20 Jan 1868, Marshall Co., TN ( See LDS Records ) Both Robert Chilton and Susan Deborah Bills appeared to have re-married. Robert Chilton and Nancy J. Sharp had at least one son George Monroe Chilton b. 26 Nov 1868, Marshall Co., TN d. 12 Feb 1933, Giles Co., TN. Also there was Robert Sidney Chilton b. abt. 1826, Bedford Co., TN d. 28 May 1909, Lewisburg, Marshall co.,TN m. (1) Nancy Caroline Little, 06 Feb 1849, Marshall Co., TN (2) Susan Bills, 4 Jul 1876, Marshall Co., TN. Robert S. Chilton b. abt. 1826 TN was the son of James Chilton and Jonana Kennedy. The third Robbert Chilton b. Mar 1831, TN and married to Mary E. ___b. Jan 1840, TN married about 1870 appeared in the 1900 Census, Marshall Co., TN.
