I found court record index info in Mar, Apr, & Aug 1864 for the placement of his children and have copies of those "minutes." Do you know if the actual court records might be availabe? He is first found in Bedford in 1840 listed as Harrison Paine, but I think he was there as early as 1833. He had 2 wives Sarah Pearson and Jane/Jency Bell. I've exhuasted all the online resources I found find. My ancestor is their youngest son Henry Rosencranz Payne (b. 17 Nov 1863 Bedford, TN d. 24 Apr 1941 Marionville, Lawrence, MO) who married Louizer Caroline Chandler. Louisa's sister Nina married W. Thomas Williamson who stayed in Bedford (last record 1920 census). Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
