Hi, We are new to the list. We are researching the John Coats and Sarah Womack family. We have no marriage date for them with an estimate of circa 1840. We have two sources for parentage. One says that Thomas Coats is the father. Another says Wilson Coats is father. We have seen land grant warrant for a John Coats getting land in Bedford County. Anyone know about this family line?
