The Bedford County Historical Society is in the process of compiling The Bedford County Family History Book. It will contain more than 850 family stories, the majority about early settlers, about 70 church histories, a general history of the county, many school pictures, more than 1000 photos altogether......... Information about ordering the book is at http://www.geocities.com/bedfordcounty/book.html The society voted at the March meeting to sell the book for $60 after the pre-publication order is sent. There was considerable sentiment to go to $70 because it will be twice as large as originally expected. I cannot give you the deadline to get your order in at $52.50, but it will not be before April 30, 2002.
