He was born in 1777 VA and may have went to KY and then TN. Later, he moved on to Washington Co., AR where he died. Children of Hezekiah are really sketchy, but it looks like his children were: Hezekiah, Jr., Thomas, Charity, Sarah, and William Martin. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated. Charity Brown, mentioned above, is believed to be the wife of Martin Collins who is mentioned elsewhere on this message board. Thanks, Mike

I'm not sure this will be of any help, but Hezakiah Brown was mentioned in two deeds that involved William Woodward of Bedford County. In Deed Book FF, pp. 266-267 two land grant deeds recorded in 1824 list Hezakiah Brown's land as a boundary. The land referred to is in the New Herman area of Bedford County, near the Lincoln County line. There were also four other Hezakiah Brown deeds that came up in my searches (there may be more). In 1836 Hezekiah Brown Sr. sold 39 acreas to Hezekiah Brown, Jr. (GG, p. 351). In 1833, Hezakiah Brown Jr. bought 421/2 acres from Peter Raney (GG, 352). There was another 4 acres bought in 1838. In 8137 Hezakiah Brown sold 76 acres to William Boone (GG, p. 219). All of these transactions were in the same area. Hope this helps in your searching.
