The book "Soldiers of the Revolution in Bedford County TN" by helen c. and Timothy R. Marsh states that John McKisick wast the 4th child of 9 born to Daniel and Jane Wilson McKisick. He was born in 1784 and died in 1846. If this is true, he would have been about 52 years old. I checked the Bedford County cemetery book but John is not listed. The "Soldiers" book states that Daniel McKisick was born 1755, died November 19, 1818 in Bedford County. He had a grave marker but the cemtery has been long destroyed. Kathryn, thank you for the time you spent. I appreciate it very much. This is the first account I've been able to find that reported John's death to be 1846. Strange. He did not move to Arkansas when the rest of the family did, and many accounts report him to have died in April, 1818, the same year his father died.
