Reed God saw fit to call another one of His eartly travelers to His Eternal Home, so he called Thomas Reed a good Christian man. Ma God protect and guide Mr Reed;s companion and children that they may meet him. Shelbyville Gazette - March 9, 1940 - page 7 Thomas O. Reed Dies After Lingering Illness Thomas O Reed, 62, died Friday, at 7:30 p.m., at the local hosptal where he had been for more than two months suffering with dropsy. Mr. Reed was a patient and uncomplaining patient, radiating cheerfulness and a christian fortitude through out his entire illness. All who came in contact with him felt the better for having known him. He was a faithful member of the Himesville Nzarene church where the funerla was held Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. E.C. Dees and Rev. E.H. Stout Conducting. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ivy Brown Reed, their daughters, Mrs. Paul Clay, Miss Margaret Reed, Miss Marie Reed, Miss Christine Reed, Miss Louise Reed; sons, Lewis Raymond and Lonnie Reed, and several grandchildren, all of this county.     3. Shelbyville Gazette - Sept 28, page 7 Himesville News Mrs. Eliza Stewart Reed, 84, of Belfast died Sept 22. Funeral at Bedford on the 24th by Rev. Rich and burial was in the Reed cemetery. She leaves a son, Dr. Will Reed, who has been with her all the time, a daughter, Mrs. Annie Reed Himes, a great granddaughter, Mrs. Jimmy Dillard and two grandsons.
