My husband's G.Grandfather was James A. Thompson who lived in Shelbyville. Don't know of a Cannon connection though. I have searched for a Thompson tie, but so far have not. found one. Who were your Thompsons? There were alot of early Thompsons in Bedford Co., I have learned.
