Since the crimes both of you have mentioned happened in the 20th century, the trial records should still be available. When we all do genealogy research, we are accustomed to just viewing Civil Records. Ask to view the indexes for Criminal Court. There may be several different records and courts from which you can view the indexes. Once you do that, you can ask them to pull the case. I have read criminal court cases back into the 1860s and 1870s. They are fascinating. Don't fail to check the Supreme Court records in the State Archives as well. You definitely should be able to find those old trial transcripts. They may be a bit more difficult to find if the trial was moved on a change of venue to another county. But the records should state to which county the trail was transferred. Good Luck!
