    3. I am hoping that I see a connection here to my brickwall Anderson. My g-g-grandfather was Marion Anderson. I think his father was A.J. Anderson and I have reason to believe that there were family connections in and around Bedford County. But - I thought his mother was Eliza (not sure) Marion would have been born around 1879. He married Tennie Fletcher. He also had a brother who may have been a barber in Shelbyville. Marion was convicted of a murder of 2 policemen. The crime happened October 31, 1911. Does any of this fit any of your Anderson connections? -----Original Message----- From: JOHN BEST [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 10, 2005 11:47 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TNBEDFOR] Brewer md. Harriet E. Anderson Tommy, Here's my info for Arthur: In the 1880 census of Bed. Co. there's a Almedia (called Alantha in 1870) age 25, divorced, living with her father E. M. Lacey and her 2 sons, Arthur (4) and Thomas (2). This is the family of Jac Anderson identified below: Our family history has Andrew Jack Anderson, born ~ 1854 in Bedford Co. and died 1888. He was son of George Washington Anderson and Mary Ann Burrow . "Jac" married twice (following the pattern of his father who md. 5 times!!) : (1) Almedia C. Lacy on 9 Jan 1875, (daughter of Ezekiel Lacy). Almedia was born ~ 1853 in TN; (2) Lucinda "Lou" Yoes on 16 Dec 1880, daughter of Thomas Yoes, she was born ~ 1858. Jac is reportedly buried in the Bedford Cem. but no stone has been found. I'm supposing that Arthur dropped his birth name and went by Lacey later in life (the 1910 Bed. Co. census has an Arthur Lacey and a Thomas Anderson a few pages apart in Dist. 7). Have also found A. L. Anderson, died 9 Aug 1913 buried with the Lacey family in the Willowmount Cem. in Bedford Co. TN. which appears to be Arthur. Do you have further insight into this family? I have a little more on Jac's parents/siblings but not much beyond that. Reeda A.
