Carol, I can highly recommend DNA testing. I had a "possibility" to my next SORRELLS generation back who I believed was in the 1810 Surry Co., NC Census then came to Bedford Co., TN in the 1820. No way to prove that it was the same family-but through the DNA testing of a "known" descendant and my father-we have proved out the line and found another cousin on the line that we didn't know about.
