I have just scanned and converted to text the "Historical Address of Judge H .L. Davidson at the Centennial Celebration of the Tennessee Historical Society, July 4, 1876". This address is now posted on the Bedford County GenWeb site and linked from the History page: http://www.tngenweb.org/bedford/history.htm The original address is 22 pages in length and is from a book at TSLA in Nashville. It contains a lot of interesting history and information about the conditions in Bedford County in 1876. I want to thank Charles Reeves for posting it and Carolyn Smotherman for obtaining copies of pages missing from my photocopy. Note: Looks like a few stray characters have made it in and I will get those corrected shortly (some "E" with a caret over them!) Steve
