Hi Jennie, I don't remember if anyone answered your question so I will give it a try. I have looked in the Marsh's Land Deed book, and while the PATTON and ERWIN names appear in the earlist records, BLANTON doesn't appear until the early 1830s. I read through the listings around the date you have mentioned, but I did not see it in the book. It doesn't mean it didn't exist, I just couldn't find it in this book.
